Please read Monday's ACIM Lesson 243 in conjunction with this text...
Those that were at our Sunday Gathering yesterday know that Stephen Anthony had fallen a couple of times since Friday and was very weak, but he and Susan had joined us on zoom for the service anyway. Stephen then collapsed at home during the evening last night. Susan couldn't revive him, and felt that he was already gone, but called 911. The paramedics came, resuscitated him enough to get a pulse, and took him to the hospital where they hooked him up to a breathing machine. Susan had told him she loves him and will see him soon before the paramedics left with him for the hospital, and Stephen then made his transition at 2:43 a.m. today (Monday, September 21, 2026).
Susan is very much at peace, still feels his presence, and is doing well. We agreed that Stephen probably ordered up today's lesson - "I am surrounded by the love of God"! It is so appropriate at this time! We are so grateful that they had joined us on Zoom and we were able to tell Stephen we love him and hold him in the Light!
We'll have a celebration of life for Stephen at Oasis in the next month or so, and I'll let everyone know the details when they're finalized.
UPDATE: We will hold a celebration of life on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the Oasis Institute at 3pm.

MACHU PICCHU
This enchanted 500-year-old stone citadel is hidden In the dense jungle of the Peruvian mountains — located where not even the Spanish conquistadores could find it! Known as one of the most inaccessible cities in the world, there is much we still don’t know about this sacred city and the people who lived there.
We will follow Steve Burrows, a structural engineer, as he leads his team of experts through the jungle and into the Peruvian mountains to scan this ancient city using cutting edge 3-D technology. The team seeks to answer these three questions:
How did the Inca’s build a city atop a mountain ridge?
How were the terraces constructed?
How did they supply water to the city?
Additionally, we’ll have an opportunity to hear first-hand about this fascinating World Wonder from those in our group who have traveled there!

Join us for our next Wise Women gathering for a relaxed time of
drumming, meditation and sharing (or just listening). We open our circle
as a safe place to discuss and reflect on our diverse backgrounds,
interests and spiritual practices.
Some questions to please ponder for this meeting are:
~What is something most people don’t know about you? (careers,
journeys, then and now)
~What brings you joy right now…things that feed your soul…such as
music, art, etc. (3 things you love)
~What are some metaphysical experiences you have had or witnessed?
~What got you on your current spiritual journey? Have you “changed”?
Discussions will be led by members of the Smoky Mountain Women of
Wisdom.
